Access Proctored Davis Edge Quizzing Assignments

To access Davis Edge Quizzing Assignments, you will always begin by logging into your LMS (Canvas) and Launching your Canvas course. You should not be accessing your class from any fadavis.com website.

 

Complete Proctored Assignments

 

Note* Your Assignments in Davis Edge should only be opened and completed in a Proctored environment.

 

Assignments will open on the day they are administered: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN OR COMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS AHEAD OF YOUR PROCTORED SESSIONS.

See description in next section below for Practice Quizzes if you are looking for additional Practice outside of your Proctored Assignments.

 

1. Log in to Canvas and navigate to your course Homepage.

 

2.  Click the Davis Edge Quiz Link in your Canvas Module.

 

 

3. On the next page, select "Load this assignment in a new window".

 

 

*Note, if this is your first time accessing Davis Edge, you do not need to create an F.A. Davis account separately, and should proceed directly from Canvas into Davis Edge. If you experience any issues with Access, please reach out to [email protected] from your school email address.

 

4. Your Davis Edge Quiz will load in a new tab alongside your Canvas Course tab in your browser.

 

 

Once you have completed a Proctored Assignment, you can close out of the Davis Edge tab to Return to Canvas, or use the Success Center Link in the top-right for Review and Practice Quizzing.

 

Success Center

You can use the same link(s) to Davis Edge Quizzes in your Canvas course to access Feedback and the Success Center, where you can check your overall progress and generate Practice Quizzes.

 

Practice Quizzes

Practice quizzes give you additional opportunities to improve your test-taking skills and determine which areas to focus on for further review. Practice quizzes are not graded, but do factor into your feedback metrics in Davis Edge.

 

Create a Quiz

To create a practice quiz, go to your Success Center and click the "Practice Quizzes" button.

 

 

Practice Quiz Builder

The Practice Quiz Builder page allows you to choose parameters with which to create your Practice Quiz.

 

Use the Filter Parameters to create a quiz based on Exam Section or Subsection. Click the dropdown menu to see the available options, then click checkboxes to select a single section/subsection, a combination, or all.

 

 

Question Size and Type

Using the "Select Number of Questions" dropdown, select the number of questions you wish to include in your Practice Quiz. You can also choose to exclude questions you have already answered correctly. After you have finished making your selections, click the blue Start button to generate the quiz and begin.

 

After you have made your selections, click the "Start" button found at the bottom of the Practice Quiz Builder to generate your Practice Quiz and begin.

 

Answering Practice Quiz Questions

Step 1: Select your answer.

 

Step 2: Click "Submit" to progress to the next question of your Practice Quiz.

 

 

Quiz Feedback

After you have completed a Practice Quiz, you will be redirected to the Feedback page to see your results. Your ratio of correct versus incorrect answers will be displayed in the top-right of your Feedback. Additionally, rationales are provided for both correct and incorrect responses.
