How do I access my product/class?

Where do I enter in my Class ID?

I’ve completed an assignment, but my grade is not showing in my LMS gradebook.

 

How do I access my product/class?

  • You should be accessing your F. A. Davis course from the link in your Learning Management System (LMS - ex. Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, etc.). You should not be accessing your class on any fadavis.com website.
  • If prompted, you will need to redeem your access code from the inside cover of your textbook (screenshot of the landing page is below).
    • If you do not have an access code, you may purchase Instant Access from fadavis.com (choose the "BUY NOW" purchase option). Once purchased, close the fadavis.com window and proceed to your LMS.

 

 

  • Your fadavis.com account email will need to match the email address of your LMS login. This is required for you to be enrolled in your instructor’s class.
  • If all is set up correctly, when clicking your course link, a new window should open in your browser and you should then be on your course dashboard.
    • Check to make sure that you allow pop-ups in your web browser. If you click your class/assignment link from your LMS and nothing happens, it is likely that your web browser blocked the window that was supposed to open. To allow pop-ups, see this example for the Google Chrome browser:
    • Notice the icon in the URL field – click this icon and select “allow pop-ups”. This method should be similar across other web browsers.

 

What should I do with a Class ID given by my Instructor?

  • Note: you should never need to enter in your class ID when you are accessing your class through your LMS. Please refrain from going directly to the product website and instead look for your class link in your LMS.
    • The class link in your LMS will take you to the appropriate F. A. Davis product and will enroll you in the correct class automatically.

 *If you are uncertain if your grades should be posted in your LMS gradebook or not, please ask your instructor.

  • Firstly, ensure that you are accessing your assignment from your LMS and not directly on the F. A. Davis product website. If you are on the product website, close the window and reopen the assignment from your LMS.
  • After you’ve opened the assignment from your LMS and you’ve completed it, please refrain from navigating to other assignments while in the product. Doing so will not properly record your scores for other assignments in the LMS because they were accessed improperly.
  • After completing an assignment, close the current product window, then you may access a new assignment from your LMS accordingly
